Established in 1988, eg solutions plc (eg) is a leading back office optimisation software company that specialises in operations management solutions – delivering guaranteed improvements in operational performance and bottom line results.

Elizabeth Gooch, Chief Executive Officer, founded the company (originally EG Consulting) in January 1988. eg was established to provide practical tools and methodologies that can be used by staff to improve the way they operate and dramatically improve the results they achieve. Elizabeth’s vision was to establish a company with people focus which enabled people to help themselves.

From the outset eg conducted its implementations on a fixed cost, fixed timescale basis. eg is the only operations management software company that guarantees return on investment and is paid based on the results delivered – implementations will pay for themselves, typically within 6 months. This has earned eg the reputation for ‘doing exactly what it says on the tin’. A recent customer satisfaction survey showed that 100% of clients would recommend eg to another company.

Key milestones:

June 2005 – eg was listed on the AIM, London Stock Exchange (EGS)

2006 – Elizabeth was named as the 7th leading female entrepreneur in the UK by Management Today and eg won ‘Most Value Added Private Sector Project’, West Midlands ICT Cluster Awards

2007 – eg formed a subsidiary in Johannesburg, South Africa and achieved sales in three out of five target territories: South Africa, India and The Netherlands

2007 – eg launched an updated version of the eg operational intelligence® software suite

2008 – eg celebrated its 20th birthday

2009 – eg wins Financial Innovation Award for ‘Most Innovative Financial Service Solutions’ and highly commended in ICT Excellence Awards ‘Best Value add Project’

2010 – eg acquires XTAQ Limited and it’s Nuqleus 3D business performance measurement software to strengthen our position in the back office optimisation market
