We shall then pick the best performing business to go through to a national competition under the beady eye of Dragon’s Den business guru Deborah Meaden.

eg solutions plc has again entered clients into the Financial Innovation Awards in the category of ‘best back office initiative’. This new category further emphasises the growing trend altering the WFM landscape; that organizations are awakening to the needs of the back office.

The problems of the back office are evident across virtually every sector including manufacturing, utilities, telecoms, financial services, healthcare and public sector. Greater customer expectations has encouraged businesses to realise that the effectiveness of transactional processing is directly correlated to both the customer experience and front office demand. It doesn’t matter how good the front office is, customer perception will be shaped by what comes after their initial transaction – all too often failures in the processes that follow.

Over the last few years several of eg’s clients have been shortlisted and also winners of these prestigious award.

We would like to wish our clients, Silica, Capita Life & Pensions and Metropolitan Health Group the very best of luck in the awards.

The finalist shortlist will be released in September and winners will be announced at the Financial World Innovation Awards Ceremony to be held on Thursday 1 December 2011 in London.

The inaugural Birmingham Post Business Awards 2010, held on Monday 20 September have, after much discussion and deliberation, been decided.

eg solutions plc (eg) the AIM listed back office optimisation software company was named winner of the International Trade & Export category.

Over the last 12 months eg has successfully demonstrated the value of its eg operational intelligence® software suite in new territories including South Africa and Norway.

More than 100 businesses, including some of the biggest and smallest in the West Midlands put themselves forward for the 11 categories so the judges really had their work cut out to whittle the selection down to the cream of the crop and select the overall winners.

Elizabeth Gooch, Chief Executive Officer of eg solutions plc said: “International trade has enabled eg to trade through and grow despite the difficulties in our core UK market. Once again it is really motivating that the benefits of our export efforts have been recognised by winning this award against some strong contenders.”
