eg Solutions (AIM:EGS) ), the IT software and services company, announces the appointment of Paul Bird as Finance Director and Company Secretary. He will join the company on 3 September.
Aged 35, Paul Bird brings financial and commercial expertise in business process outsourcing in regulated areas, particularly the public sector, utilities and the software industry.
Since 2001, Mr Bird has served at South Staffordshire Plc, firstly as Director of Finance and since 2004 as Finance and Commercial Director of Echo Managed Services Ltd, South Staffordshire’s outsourcing subsidiary. In the latter role Mr Bird has been responsible for all financial systems and controls, the design and implementation of strategic change management programmes and leading bid teams including the negotiation of key contracts. Prior to joining South Staffordshire, Mr Bird held senior financial positions at Virgin Airship and Balloon Company, Leavelite Group and in the National Health Service.
