Poor performance – measure, manage and improve

In a recent blog, eg‘s Andrew Baker responded to an article from the Institute of Leadership Management magazine, Edge, that looked at when poor performance is identified there can often be a reluctance to tackle it.

Everyone performs at different levels – whether that’s due to ability, method, experience or complexity of the activity in question. Without information about these variances, it is impossible to understand where and how improvements can be achieved.

Performance management without performance measurement typically makes it difficult to identify the full potential possible.  If you have an increase in overall operational performance, how do you maximise potential if the measurement you have is inconsistent, inaccurate or is using unbalanced measurement techniques?

Read the blog to see how poor performance can be managed – successfully.
