Shortlisted by the Financial Innovation Awards…

eg is pleased to announce that it has reached the finalist stage of the prestigious Financial Innovation Awards 2009 in two categories.

One of eg’s clients, Legal & General Retail Savings, was nominated by eg in the ‘Most Effective Operations Management Initiative’ category following a successful project with eg during 2009. The shortlisted project’s main objective was to deliver service and performance improvement. As well as delivering enhanced service excellence, through improved efficiency and flexibility L&G Retail Savings was able to apply great commercial focus whilst significantly reducing costs.

eg has also been recognised in the ‘Technology Vendors – Most Innovative Financial Services Solution’ category for its proprietary software, the eg operational intelligence® software suite. eg’s software provides historic, real-time and predictive Management Information for Managers and Team Leaders in process based customer services operations centres. eg is the only operations management software company that guarantees return on investment and is paid on the results it delivers.

Now in its twelfth year, the Financial Innovation Awards have attracted extremely high quality nominations from across the spectrum of organisations providing today’s financial services. This is the third consecutive year that eg has reached the finalist stage with nominations for clients and its own software and services. In 2007 Legal & General, General Insurance won the Most Innovative Customer Service Programme Award.

On being shortlisted for the awards Paul Lewis, Customer Services Director at Legal & General Retail Savings, said: “The implementation of eg’s operations management software and methodology enabled us to improve service, efficiency and performance, which we believe will have a really positive impact on Legal & General’s future success. Being shortlisted for a Financial Innovation Award is great recognition for the success of the project itself and our dedicated staff who worked hard to achieve the improvements.”

The awards event will take place on Thursday 3 December at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.
